Westhampton Beach students are spending their summer mornings learning and playing as part of the district’s Summer Academy, which runs through the month of July.

The four-week program is held at Westhampton Beach Elementary School for students in grades K-5. It aims to prepare them for the coming school year through a variety of engaging learning activities. For example, kindergartners have practiced writing letters of the alphabet, first graders composed stories and drew accompanying pictures, and many have solved math problems outdoors using sidewalk chalk.
