To coincide with a unit of study on cultures around the world, third graders at Westhampton Beach Elementary School read the realistic fiction story “The Dream Catcher” to learn about the Ojibwe Native Americans. Inspired by the tale, they created their own dream catchers using paper plates, string and crayons.
