The Westhampton Beach School District is pleased to announce that Kathleen Masterson, the district’s director of health, physical education and athletics, has been recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator.

To earn the distinction, Masterson demonstrated, according to NIAAA, “exemplary knowledge, contributions and ongoing professional development in the field of interscholastic athletic administration.” The voluntary certification process included a thorough evaluation of Masterson’s background, experience, courses taken, professional contributions and practical presentation project.

“I am very proud of this accomplishment,” said Masterson. “The certification took a great deal of hard work, but it was totally worth it.”
