Westhampton Beach High School senior Meghan Pomroy was named a semifinalist in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program. Pomroy is now among 16,000 students across the nation competing for $28 million in scholarships. Additionally, Luke Albert, Nicholas Borruso, Lily Pereyra and Zoey Rudolf have been recognized as Commended Students as a result of their outstanding scores on the qualifying exam.

The seniors are among 34,000 students throughout the nation to earn the distinction and be recognized for their “exceptional academic promise.” To earn the title, they placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the 2023 PSAT.
