Westhampton Beach High School science research students recently took a field trip to the Advanced Energy Center in the Stony Brook University Research and Development Park. During the trip, they learned about research in biofuels, combustion, power electronics, hydrogen power and battery storage from Ph.D. and graduate students, as well as from professors. They also had the opportunity to visit the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology, where they explored the world's largest virtual reality deck, AI-driven robotic cars and the sensor lab.
