Members of the Westhampton Beach High School Virtual Enterprise team recently engaged with 33 VE teams from 19 school districts across Long Island at an annual networking event at Atlantis Sea Star Ballroom.

During the event, students showcased their VE marketing materials and products and conducted simulated business transactions at trade show-style tables. The event emphasized the value of networking and public speaking, as each firm delivered an elevator pitch to the audience in the ballroom.

The Westhampton Beach team, PuraVie, displayed their virtual eco-conscious business offering an innovative solution to reduce single-use plastics. PuraVie sells dissolvable cleaning tablets paired with reusable bottles, providing a convenient and sustainable approach to household cleaning.

The event was organized by Westhampton Beach High School VE teacher Amy Demchak with the assistance of students Rylee McGinness and Carlos Perez Alonso.

The Westhampton Beach High School Virtual Enterprise program requires students to create a business concept and formulate plans to market it. They compete and present their plans at several events throughout the year.
